"Narzan Valley" is such a poetic name the valley of the Khasaut River received for the variety of mineral springs (there are more than 20 of them) collected in an amazing corner of nature.
This popular place became widely known back in the Soviet years – not only ordinary tourists, but also influential political figures rested here. All-Union tourist routes ran through the campsite "Narzanov Valley".
The geographical name of the valley is Khasaut. It is located at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level, 35 kilometers from Kislovodsk, on the road to the northern Elbrus region in the Jily-Su tract. The newest territory of the ecological park is located next to the now abandoned camp site.
The Narzanov Valley is unique because of its mineral water sources. The water temperature is 10.5 degrees all year round, they are carbonated with carbon dioxide and because of this, the water is colored orange. Every outlet of mineral water is ennobled. There are paths and bridges across the Khasaut River.
All other attractions are located on the eco-trail. Its length is 2300 meters, at the beginning of the way there is a diagram indicating the places of stops and what to see and what to pay attention to along the way.
The entire southern part of the valley is covered with evergreen coniferous forests. Due to its favorable climate, this area can be visited all year round. It offers the best view of Mount Elbrus. In addition to the springs, underground caves, outlier rocks, waterfalls on the Khasaut and Musht rivers are also interesting.
Also from here you can continue your way to the tract with warm mineral water of Jila-Su. And an astronomical station is located on Mount Shijatmaz.
Another interesting place is the panoramic platform "Avatars" at an altitude of 2080 meters. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Kharbas riverbed.
In the eco-park there is a modern cafe where it is possible to taste the dishes of the local national mountain cuisine.
Recently, its capabilities have expanded, and now it is possible to ride tubing there for both children and adults.
