Under the noisy ovation from May 25 to May 29, the Staraya Russa resort revived historical summer theatrical holidays within the framework of the festival of amateur groups "Theatrical Seasons in Staraya Russa" at the interregional level.
The theatrical festival, full of bright productions of various genres, from vaudeville to tragic military ballads, from Aleseevich to Kolyada, was held with the support of the Union of Theatrical Figures of the Russian Federation, under the personal chairmanship of Alla Valentinovna Zorina, representing the RC of the International Association of Amateur Theaters.
The winners of the I degree were the actors of the theater of limitless possibilities "Gesture" from Veliky Novgorod, the winner of the II degree was the People's theater "Around the Corner" from Gatchina, and the III degree was taken by the collective of the theater-studio "New Stage" from Vladimir. Theater groups from the cities of Staraya Russa, Klin and Vladimir also shared the nominations "Best Female Role", "Best Male Role" and "Best Acting Ensemble".
Elena Glebova, the head of the magazine "Strastnoy Boulevard, 10" and the famous theater critic, and Sergey Sobolev, a wonderful teacher and a member of the theater collective "On Liteyny", acted as members of the jury: "The complexity of the task set before the judges is difficult to describe: after all, it is necessary to objectively evaluate the actors' performance, the director's work - and at the same time not to miss the artistic integrity of the performance and the acting ensemble. We tried not just to give our assessment, but also to suggest and direct the director on the path of further self-improvement and growth with our recommendations. We really hope that the grain sown this spring will germinate, and the festival will have a long history and great success!"
Leaving, the participants and guests of the "Theatrical Seasons" did not hide their sadness, this holiday ended too quickly. But, taking home the well-deserved awards, they know for sure: the second festival in Staraya Russa will definitely take place!
